English Heritage Farm Open Day – Sunday 12th September
Another chance to see what farm life is like at Wheelbirks, but this time in association with English Heritage Open Days. From 10am, there will be walking tours with Hugh or Tom Richardson. From 10.30am there will be tractor rides every half an hour with commentary from Michael Richardson, to include visits to the remains of a 16th century Iron Smelter/Blast Furnace in the semi ancient woodland and a chance to learn about the unique Victorian Sanitorium. In the orchard there will be face painting and story telling for the children.
Come along for an opportunity to enjoy some of the historic sites of Wheelbirks Estate
